If the GP or Practice nurse wants you to see another medical professional about your condition or health problem, they will make a referral to a service at the hospital.You will normally receive a letter of acknowledgement from the hospital which will explain their process for dealing with their patients. This will also include all the relevant contact details.If you have any queries about your referral, waiting lists and times or queries about appointments that you have been given, please contact the hospital directly. Mae’r rhaglen sgrinio yng Nghymru yn cael ei rhedeg gan Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru.Mae sgrinio yn ffordd o ddarganfod a yw pobl mewn mwy o berygl o gael problem iechyd, fel y gellir cynnig triniaeth gynnar neu roi gwybodaeth i'w helpu i wneud penderfyniadau gwybodus.Peidiwch ag anwybyddu'ch gwahoddiad i fynychu sgrinio. Mae'n bwysig iawn a gall hyd yn oed achub eich bywyd.Sgrinio ymlediad aortig abdomenol (AAA).Yn cael ei gynnig i ddynion yn eu 65ain blwyddyn i ganfod ymlediadau aortig abdomenol (chwydd peryglus yn yr aorta). Gall dynion dros 65 oed atgyfeirio eu hunain.Sgrinio serfigolCynigir sgrinio serfigol i fenywod rhwng 25 a 64 oed i wirio iechyd celloedd yng ngheg y groth. Fe’i cynigir bob 3 blynedd i’r rhai rhwng 26 a 49 oed, a phob 5 mlynedd rhwng 50 a 64 oed.Sgrinio'r fronMae sgrinio'r fron yn cael ei gynnig i fenywod rhwng 50 a 70 oed i ganfod arwyddion cynnar o ganser y fron. It is very important and can even save your life.Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screeningOffered to men in their 65th year to detect abdominal aortic aneurysms (a dangerous swelling in the aorta). Men over 65 can self-refer.Cervical screeningCervical screening is offered to women aged 25 to 64 to check the health of cells in the cervix. It is offered every 3 years for those aged 26 to 49, and every 5 years from the ages of 50 to 64.Breast screeningBreast screening is offered to women aged 50 to 70 to detect early signs of breast cancer. Women over 70 can self-refer.Bowel cancer screeningBowel cancer screening is offered to men and women aged between 60 and 74 every two years. This is done with a home testing kit.Screening for Life
